    Founded in Pizzo in 1913, Callipo was the first producer in Calabria - and among the first in Italy -  to process the highly acclaimed Mediterranean tuna.  Today, headquartered in Maierato, Giacinto Callipo Conserve Alimentari SpA is managed by the 4th family generation.  Extremely popular in Italy, only 8% of its production is exported.
