PRODUCER INFORMATION | Founded in 1871 in Magreta di Formigne, a few miles north of the town of Modena, the Acetaia Leonardi is currently run by Giovanni Leonardi and his son, Francesco. The Leonardi's respect for tradition, their skill and their dedication to the art of aceto balsamico, result in vinegars consistently rated outstanding within the consortium. The farmhouse is surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards where they grow their own raw materials - mainly Trebbiano (white) and Lambrusco (red) grapes. The Leonardi family has always been at the forefront of balsamic vinegar in Modena. Their vast assortment of vinegars and related products evolve year after year, offering boundless sources of creativity for modern chefs around the world.
