Imported Italian Aged Balsamic Vinegar

SIGILLO ARGENTO | formally known as 8 year | A masterful blend of cooked grape must and high quality wine vinegar. Thick as molasses, with notes of cooked grapes as a good Amarone and a long subtle acid finish. A special vinegar by Acetaia Leonardi.  

Drizzle over a sizzling hot grilled steak or pork chop as well as over grilled eggplant, peppers, mushrooms and zucchini. Make a wonderful swirl over a butternut squash or pumpkin soup as well as over a creamy Parmigiano risotto. Highlight the freshness of freshly sliced plums, nectarine and peaches or use instead of caramel or chocolate sauce over baked pears and apples.

NOTE | In 2011, Balsamic vinegar of Modena I.G.P. (Protected Geographic Identification) came into existence. The previous labeling method using "years" was outlawed and new guidelines enacted. Under these new regulations, the age and thickness of the vinegars are set to be identified by each individual producer with the designation of a proprietary "symbol" to single out each bottling. In the case of Acetaia Leonardi, the age and thickeness is reflected by: One Coin and Red Seal (young), Two coins and Silver Seal (medium) and Three Coins and Gold Seal (long aged, thick).
