BRAND NEW RECIPE BY ANTONIO MATTEI!
SIZE | 250gr
CATEGORY: Imported Italian Cookie (Biscotti)
The most famous cookies in Tuscany are called cantucci or cantuccini: golden, crisp, incomparable airy, crunchy texture, studded with whole almonds, most often served with a glass of Vin Santo dessert wine for sipping or dipping. In the Florence area they're known as biscotti di Prato, probably since the greatest version of this cookie comes from the historic bakery Mattei in Prato.
Now, after more than 150 years making the traditional Tuscan cookie, the Pandolfini family has embarked on a new biscotto adventure. They have added Sicilian pistachios to their classic biscotti and packed the cookies into festive green bags—still tied up with string, of course. This new recipe is a twist on tradition - and destined to be a family favorite. Equally wonderful with espresso or wine, dipped in chocolate fondue, with fruit or chopped up as a topping on your favorite dessert.
