Imported Italian Holiday Chocolate
OK...obviously Italians can't claim the discovery of the cacao bean - but they definitely have perfected recipes that use it!
However, they did invent Gianduja (or Gianduia) the rich, creamy and delicious chocolate hazelnut blend created in the early 1800's by a chocolatier in Torino wanting to extended the little bit of chocolate he had left by adding hazelnut paste.
