This classic Italian panettone is made with a special natural yeast which gives it a soft delicate texture and studded with chopped dried figs, dark chocolate chips and scented with natural vanilla to create a delicious and unique cake. Beautifully wrapped in brown paper and ribbon.
It can be simply toasted or served with creme anglaise or fresh cream whipped with mascarpone...and it also makes EXCELLENT french toast or bread pudding.
